Dear Beckman High School Families,
Welcome to another exciting school year! My name is Nicola Dobbin, and I am honored to serve as this year’s PTO President.
I have been fortunate to be part of the Beckman community for several years. This year I have two students at Beckman, a senior and a sophomore, and I also celebrated my oldest child graduating from Beckman last year. Having experienced the school from both a current parent’s and graduate parent’s perspective, I can truly say that Beckman is a special place. From our outstanding teachers, staff, and dedicated administrators, to our talented students and supportive families, Beckman High School is a community that cares deeply about helping every student succeed. I am excited to work alongside our incredible PTO Board, school administration, staff, and parents to make this another fantastic year.
A special welcome goes out to all of our incoming freshmen and new families! Starting high school is an exciting milestone, and we hope you’ll quickly discover what makes the Beckman community so welcoming. We encourage you to get to know our PTO and explore the many ways you can become involved. Whether you have a few hours to volunteer or simply want to support our programs, every family can make a difference.
One of the best ways to connect with other parents and stay informed is by attending our monthly PTO meetings. We’d love to meet you! Our first meeting of the school year will be Tuesday, August 18 at 5:30pm, and all parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Meeting dates, times, and locations can be found on our website. Please also follow us on Instagram where we will keep you up to date on what's happening on campus.
Here are just a few ways to get involved:
-
Become a PTO Member by making a membership donation. Your support helps fund programs and activities that benefit our entire school community. 100% of your membership donations directly funds student programs, campus activities, classroom support and school wide events throughout the year. Please find examples of what our PTO supports: What We Fund and consider donating today.
-
Sponsor a Senior for our end-of-year Grad Night celebration. Your generosity helps ensure every senior has the opportunity to participate in this memorable event.
-
Join our Parent Volunteer Database to receive information about volunteer opportunities throughout the school year. Whether you can help once or several times, we’d love to have you involved.
-
Take on a Leadership Role. If you’ve volunteered before and would like to become even more involved, we have committees, chair and board positions available. We’d love to talk with you about how your talents and interests can help strengthen our PTO. beckmanhspto@gmail.com

Support our Teacher Grant Program. One of our favorite initiatives provides grants to teachers for innovative classroom projects, STEM-based learning opportunities, and educational experiences that enhance student learning. Visit our Teacher Grant Program page to learn more or make a donation. Every dollar donated to this program goes directly toward funding teacher grants.
Our PTO is successful because of our amazing parent community. When families, teachers, staff, and administrators work together, we create an even stronger learning environment for our students. Every volunteer, every donation, and every act of support helps to enrich the Beckman experience for all of our students.
On behalf of our entire PTO Board, thank you for being part of the Beckman family. We look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year and working together to make this a wonderful school year for our students.
Warmly,
Nicola Dobbin
