Overview
The Education Grant was established by the Beckman High School PTO with the objective to work side-by-side with the community and parents to support and promote quality public education for every student in Beckman High School by providing teachers and students with the resources they need to be successful. The Beckman High School PTO Education Grant awards small grants to support the planning and implementation of innovative student programs and offers funds for teachers to create enriching curriculum or programs for their students at Beckman High School in the Tustin Unified School District.

Eligibility
The applicant must be a teacher, Beckman High School staff member, or a student lead academic organization that meets the following requirements:
Student Lead Academic Organizations may apply under the following conditions:

Students must have Teacher or Staff signature approval.

The Teacher or Staff member providing approval agrees to be the sponsor for the student's proposal. This includes assuming all financial responsibility and oversight of approved PTO grant funds and the spending of funds towards materials and other necessary expenses relating to the proposal.
Terms & Conditions
Each teacher, Beckman High School staff member, or student program/organization may only submit ONE APPLICATION per school year.
All applications for the grant will be judged against the following criteria:
1.This grant is for a successful project/program that demonstrates the potential to improve an educational goal. The project or program should promote the importance of education, STEM, or sports and be supported by current school policy.
2.Program must encourage innovative ways to motivate and involve students in learning.
3.The project should demonstrate the potential to impact student learning and enrichment.
4.Demonstration of the ability of the applicant(s) to undertake and complete the project.
5.A budget and clarity of purpose.
6.The grant recipient may be invited to present the program at a PTO meeting after the project has been completed.
Teacher/Beckman Staff Approval and Funding Supervision Agreement
All student led academic organization applicants must provide a signed statement from their designated advisor, staff member, or teacher, confirming their commitment to oversee and ensure the responsible management of any allocated funds for the organization.

Next Steps
The PTO Gants Committee will review the application, budget, purpose and decide if it will be presented to our PTO Board at our next scheduled meeting for approval and fund allocation. Applicants will be notified of the Board’s determination via email as well as next steps if granted.
